¡°New school will be at hand; New home will be at hand too.¡± It is still deeply and impressively echoed in our mind when Hu Jintao, CPC general secretary writing 12 characters vigorously in portable classrooms where classes were just resumed on April 18. Children are the future for our motherland and hope for our country. After the earthquake, all the Yushu students whose classes were suspended due to the earthquake now can go to school through measures like building tent schools and relocation etc implemented by the Qinghai province. By May 1, all the 172 schools in Yushu area had reopened.
Prior to these measures being implemented, benefit activities were staged at CAMDA¡¯s office under leadership of Chairman Zhou Zongbo with total contribution of RMB 4,430. Given that the children in quake-hit areas had gone back to school successively, all CAMDA staff agreed that the goodness-sum be used to buy stationery for these children to express our concern for the quake victims.
The stationary donated mainly includes schoolbags, pencils, pencil cases, pencil sharpeners, ball-pens, notebooks and erasers etc. The staff carefully divides the stationery into different schoolbags and hope that these ¡°Loving Bags¡± can bring warmth to the children at the quake-hit area and that the children can get rid of the disaster impact, focusing on study to develop into the pillar talented for the country.
It is reported that reconstruction of the earthquake-hit Yushu has been in full swing on May 4. It is believed that children at quake-hit areas will soon have more beautiful schools and warmer homes.
