At 9am on 12th May, 2009, Shenhua Group Chief Engineer Yang Jingcai and NCG Chief Cui hongming, Shenhua Group Production Technology and Equipment Department Head You Wenshun came to CAMDA to have a communication and discussion with technical experts from CAMDA over gas controlling technology and gas controlling experience, etc. CAMDA General Manager Joe, Financial Director Lin Jian, General Manager Assistant Tiger and Project Manager Lance attended the meeting.
General Manager Joe, on behalf of CAMDA, extended his warm welcome to Chief Engineer Yang Jingcai and other members of the delegate. He briefly introduced the cooperation with Shenhua Group in the field of gas management and the preliminary results we have achieved since 2005; General Manager Assistant Tiger detailedly introduced CAMDA¡¯s ¡°IMSS-comprehensive mine safety management system (integration system of coal mine safety management)¡±, ¡°the framework and implementation process of the seven-in-one professional gas management approach (including exploration, test, simulation, design, drilling, management and utilization)¡±and the progress and achievements made in gas drainage projects in high gas coal mines like Baijigou Coal Mine and Rujigou Coal Mine of NCG, and Tianrong company of Shenhua Wuhai Energy Group. Tiger also analyzed and reported the experience got and results accomplished from using medium and long distance drilling technology to professionally solve gas problems in view of the completed Baijigou Gas Drainage Project, the ending Rujigou Gas Drainage Project and the on-going Tianrong Gas Drainage Project.
Chief Engineer Yang Jingcai expressed his thanks and appreciation to the technical presentation carefully prepared by CAMDA and congratulated CAMDA for the results achieved in gas management in Shenhua coal mines in recent years. Engineer Yang proposed: as a professional gas management company, CAMDA not only used internationally advanced gas management technology to conduct the pre-drainage, but also gave a full play of its professional advantages and drained plenty of gas from Baijigou, Rujigou and Tianrong Coal Mine raising their mining safety reliability level despite the geological conditions are quite complicates.
Based on the present international and domestic gas management situation and technology development, Engineer Yang also pointed out that there is before us a heavy responsibility and a long way to go in the field of gas management, and there are more unknown area to be explored and more arduous problems to be solves. ¡°Gas drainage plan should be managed and supervised on a equal footing with mine production and its progress shall also be reported everyday¡±, Engineer Yang proposed his own unique idea on gas management.
Engineer Cui Hongming proposed: CAMDA¡¯s technological advantages and professional characteristics in the field of gas management have resulted in preliminary positive effect, however, more research shall be done over how to raise drill hole diameter , how to ream in terrane and how to drill in low permeability and soft coal seams.
It was put forward in the communication that for Shenhua, the following problems need the support from CAMDA: one: gas outburst in low permeability and soft coal seams; two: gas problems in coal seams of Wulan Coal Mine; three: high gas outburst in Tianrong Seam 1; four: protection seam mining; five: gas management in high output and high efficiency coal mines in eastern part of Shendong. Shenhua Group was willing to cooperate with CAMDA and a research project also can be established to professionally solve the above mentioned problems.
General Manager Joe expressed his willingness to collaboratively conduct the research on the above mentioned problems along with Shenhua Group. CAMDA will also make positive contributions for Shenhua Group and all other coal mines in China in the field of gas management by making full use of its advanced gas exploration, test, drilling, management technologies and professional advantages.
