On May10, 2008, Zhou Zongbo, chairman of CAMDA, Pengyong, assistant manager of CAMDA and Peter Eason, chairman of Australia Ming Services International (AMSI) which is parent company of CAMDA, Colin, senior adviser of AMSI, made a field inspection of Hongling mine of Shenyang Coal Group and went underground to make an better understanding of coal sampling and actual exposure of coal seam at the integrated mining working face and made a detailed discussion and made a detailed discussion concerning the gas drainage approach and its results.
Weigang, the chief engineer of Shenyang Coal Group made a simple introduction about the mentioned above. Then Mr. Jiao, mine manager of Hongling Mine made a detailed introduction of the gas drainage approach, supervision management and actual results. Pengyong, on behalf of CAMDA described the long-distance horizontal drilling practice to the leaders from the Hongling Mine based on the Baijigou gas drainage project.
During this period, Mr, Zhou met with Mr. Lin, the chairman of Shenyang Coal Group for several times. Mr. Lin paid great attention to the gas drainage and came up with suggestions and ideas about introduction of advanced Australian gas drainage technology. Weigang expressed his willing to cooperate with CAMDA. Firstly a belt zone south from the mine will be taken to be tested. Hopefully Hongling Mine will make further discussion with CAMDA.
